The latest movie from Mohanlal, ‘Shikaar’ directed by M Padmakumar in the scripts of S Sureshbabu, has started its shoot at Kothamanagalam. As the crew of ‘Shikaar’ had acted wisely by going for some sample shoot before April16, the movie's production was not disrupted by the producer association's ban on shooting activities.

Tamil director Samuthirakani who played the villain in Tamil movie ‘Subramaniapuram’ was recommended by the movie's lead star Mohanlal, to do the role of the villain in ‘Shikaar'. Samuthirakani will have an equal footage with Lal, who plays a lorry driver named Balaraman in the movie. Ananya plays Mohanlal's daughter in the movie while Lakshmi Gopalaswamy will once again appear as his wife. ‘Shikaar’ which is planned as a revenge drama will grace the theaters as the big Onam release of Mohanlal.
